Beta Club inductions are on November 30th at 6:30 in the auditorium, providing an opportunity for exemplary students to be welcomed into one of the most prestigious clubs at the school. Founded two years ago, the club lays its foundations in outstanding academic achievement, exemplified worthy character, and a commendable attitude. In order to be eligible to join, the student must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher, promote good character, be a leader, and interact within their community. Inductions will consist of the students being recognized for their achievements and receiving pins and a paper certification. Being a part of Beta opens up many opportunities, such as attending leadership conferences and statewide conventions. These conventions consist of many different competitions such as Quiz Bowl or subject specific tests like Spanish or French, and allow the students from schools all over Virginia to interact with each other and develop their skills in what they are most interested in.
