Sooner or later the past catches up to you.
Next up in the Disney franchise is Christopher Robin, a live-action version of the beloved cartoon, Winnie the Pooh, directed by Marc Foster. Revealed in the teaser are the lovable and familiar characters of Christopher Robin and Winnie-the-Pooh, but this time Christopher Robin is much older. Played by Ewan McGregor, the story takes place during the 1940s, in contrast to the beloved Hundred Acre Woods. The trailer continues after Christopher Robin has returned from World War II, now selling luggage to make his living. The trailer first introduces his job as a luggage salesman, and the pressure he endures under his demanding boss. After being forced to abandon a family trip for work, he contemplates what he should do as he sits on a park bench. In the midst of it, Christopher Robin is surprised by Pooh, reuniting them once again.
Although the trailer does not reveal any other of the Hundred Acre Wood characters, the cast will include Tigger voiced by Chris O’Dowd, Eeyore by Brad Garrett, Owl by Toby Jones, Piglet by Nick Mohammed, Rabbit by Peter Capaldi, and Kanga by Sophie Okonedo. Christopher Robin will be released August 3rd, 2018.
